Hacı Mustafa Gökdemir relocated his construction operations—which he originally founded in Kelkit, Gümüşhane—to İzmir in the early 1950s. Having accomplished significant construction projects, Mustafa Gökdemir ventured into block brick production in Turgutlu, Manisa, in the 1970s and operated in this sector for many years under the "İzblok" brand.
By the early 1990s, the construction activities gained a new vision with the "Megapol" brand, established in partnership with his son, S. Selim Gökdemir. Megapol has distinguished itself with the prestigious towers it brought to the İzmir skyline, undertaking landmark projects such as Mavi Kule, Heris Tower, Sunucu and Martı Plazas, Kordon Kule, Megapol Tower, Megapol Çarşı Kule, and Megapol İzmir.
Over time, Megapol's core business has evolved from construction contracting to real estate investment and project development. By making strategic investments in areas that have not yet reached their full development potential, Megapol has brought substantial value to these districts of the city through its projects.
Today, while its primary focus is Real Estate Investment, Megapol also maintains its operations in construction and facility management, as well as in the fields of culture and arts. As of February 2026, the construction operations were separated from the group and transferred to the management of Cenk Demir Gökdemir. Representing the 3rd generation, Cenk Demir Gökdemir will continue to drive the construction activities forward with a fresh perspective.
MEGAPOL boasts a total of 12 towers as references, including Mavi Kule, İzmir's first residence built to global standards; Heris Tower, its first business center; Sunucu and Martı Plazas, the first high-rise buildings in the new city center; and its iconic structures Kordon Kule, Megapol Çarşı Kule, and Megapol İzmir.
